They were the prototypical heavy metal band – with the emphasis on heavy. Formed in 1967, they took some of the best-known pop songs of the day, loaded them down with rock, and pushed them to their psychedelic limit. Somehow, it all worked.

Their version of “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” stands next to the original as the alternative definitive recording – they even performed it live on the Ed Sullivan Show!

This unique recording sees two original members, Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert, joined by Bill Pascale and Teddy Rondinelli and the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra in a radical reworking of some of their most memorable hits. There might be strings, but they’re as heavy as ever.

In 2008, the original Fudge lineup is back together and touring.
